Major Investment at Flexenergy that benefits all.

As Britain returns to work and tries to find the new normal, Flexenergy have spent the lockdown months installing a new coiling machine at their HQ in Glenrothes.

The new coiling machine is an essential new addition to their pre-insulated pipework systems they supply across UK and Ireland.  It enables them to cut and recoil pipe to meet specific lengths for clients, reducing wastage and minimising the difficulties of pipe handling on site as the lengths supplied match the lengths needed for the installation enhancing safety for the installers and eliminating troublesome offcut disposal.

With the recent extension of their product range capability of cross-linked polyethylene (PEX) systems to complement the existing Polybutylene (PB) already supplied, the coiler speeds up and eases the handling and fulfilment of orders whilst ensuring the safety of the team in Glenrothes by restraining the pipes’ latent energy throughout the entire process.

The coiler can handle pipes in the range 25mm to 160mm carrier pipes (76mm – 225mm OD casings).
